Your turkey questions, answered!
This time of the year, we always get asked these questions:
“How long do I cook my turkey?”
“How big of a turkey do I need for this many people?”
“Can I cook it from frozen?”
Well, we have an easy rule of thumb for you for the cooking time and the size needed per amount of people. You can easily calculate both with the turkey’s weight!

How long does it take to cook a turkey?
For an unstuffed turkey:
13 minutes per pound at 350F
For a stuffed turkey:
15 minutes per pound at 350F

How big a turkey do you need?
The amount of turkey needed per person:
1 to 1-1/2 pound of raw meat per person.
So a 15lb stuffed turkey will take 3 hours and 45 minutes and feed 10 to 15 people! Of course, this number varies from the type of crowd you have! (kids, people with big or small appetites)

What is the best way to thaw a turkey?
- Fridge is best.
- Under cold running water is the next best.
A chicken would take just over a day max to thaw.
A turkey can take up to 4 days (if over 16lbs).
